I am just about to transfer my track from the floor to a surface that can be hinged up on the wall.

Basic track, mix of Sport and Classic (which I am gradually replacing)

I have a potential area of 220X270 cms

Hinge would be on left side of image, controller at start of long straight on bottom.

I am thinking of putting it on an mdf base supported with joints (dowel located and bolt secured) which act as braces as I can only get pieces up the loft.

What do you think?

Could be, though the wall contact is the shorter side. I would have access all three sides, though it might be too much of a reach! Am I trying to get too much track in? Not much space. Will look again at the wall.

I have had another look at the walls. I will have to limit the width to 2.00m, but could have the depth 2.40m. I know its a bit odd to have it deeper than wide, but its the shape of the room, I don't have a wide wall. So wall on the left, control on lower or right edge.

I have reduced the size somewhat and added some hairpin pieces I haven't yet used.

Next version:

Ply or Mdf for baseboard? I'm thinking about weight.
